Penang located at the intersection of Asia’s great kingdoms and Europe’s powerful colonial empires, Penang has long served as the link between Asia’s two halves and an important outlet to the markets of Europe and the Middle East. This is one of Malaysia’s most diverse, cosmopolitan and exciting cultures. It culminates in George Town, Penang Island’s main city and an urban centre that delivers old-world Asia in spades; think trishaws pedalling past watermarked Chinese shop houses . This is what Lonely Planet descripted Penang.

-The location will add point to this hotel, this hotel near to the Heritage street- Lebuh Armenian ( the street with wall drawing) and also The Clan jetty. All this tourist point just within walking distance .
After had our breakfast we started with our journey – we walked to Armenian Street , this street is famous with street art and wall painting . A lot of wall panting but I just took picture which I love the most .
Moreover this street with number of restaurant and with transitional local Chinese building . You can also buy souvenirs at this street .
You may try some local delicacy at here too.
Like butterfly flower tea with very nice blue color .
Bird’s Net Delicacy – we took as brunch dessert .
92, Lebuh Armenian, George Town, 10200 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia
Expensive but not really fantastic, the services like shit !! Nice Ambient of the restaurant is good .
I order mee one Tang yuan, bird Net egg tart ( RM 8.00) and also one Bid Net with Bean curd. Friendly speaking the Taste so so only !!
We had our tiger pawn Keat tiao at Cafe Ping Hooi . The taste was good , but hygiene factor is my concern, compulsory beverage order for this cafe .
In Georgetown ( Capital of Penang ) , I saw a lot of Chinese Temple, this is different from other place of Malaysia . This is one and only place fully preserve Chinese culture in Malaysia .
We continue our food detective journey , the next station will be Penang Street .
Penang Road is the most important street in Penang. It runs the from Lebuh Farquhar in the north, to Jalan Gurdwara in the south, near the Kompleks Tun Abdul Razak (KOMTAR) tower, at the junction of Macalister Road.
A mixture of nouveau-riche and quaint heritage, it is brightly lit and divided into four main sections. When you a long Queue will be famous Penang road Chendol, there are 2 store, but only one store full of crowd.
This is the Chendol, made from Coconut milk, Gula Melacca, Pandan Leave and so on.
Short walk to Parangin Mall / Komtart/ First Avenue , this was the most famous Shopping in Penang last time.
Boloon fair at First Avenue .
We shop till 4pm and back hotel for Complementary high tea . As early mention, Le Dream will provide complementary goodies for guest to enjoy.
High tea with not much verity , but surprisingly all the cake, hand food and Kuit are delicious.
We back to the room and take a snap. If u drink the sky bar open at 7.pm and you may get a glass of wine and enjoy the view of Georgetown.
Our activities start again at 8.30pm, we went for movie time.
They serve home made popcorn , cookies and ice-cream for free . I remember we watch I am number 4 at sky bar. The movie end at 10.30pm and we went to New Lane Hawker center and Gurney Drive Hawker Center for super .
The Morning Breakfast really impress me. Amazing selection of variety of food selection, even with handmade roti tissue and canai, this is only one hotel with roti tissue.. the taste good, i really enjoy my abundance breakfast at this hotel
Beyond this the Hotel manager even impress me with their hospitality and services, she came to our table ” Morning Miss Tan, how your holidays in Penang, are you have a good sleep? our Hotel with 2 action store in outside, they serve Penang Char Keat tiao and Jawa mee, you may want want try’. so sad, too late, i am too full now. at the end i didn’t try the keat tiao. wow !! they greeted every hotel guest.
we spend whole morning for food and after bath, we proceed to Gurney Paragon, actually no must thing in Penang Shipping center.
We having Lunch at Fitty Loh chicken rice. This place is rightfully a landmark in Penang! When you walk in, it’s as if you just strolled into an antique shop! The Dining area is a trip down memory lane. Totally full from floor to ceiling with kitsch retro knick knacks and retro benches and tables, it was really cool. Plus somehow the mish mash all worked. There are little trinkets everywhere, giving it a lot of character.
Fatty Loh is run by a Chinese family and they do a great job. difference with Chicken rice that we usually eat, but it is more like home cook food.
The food excellent Chicken Rice, either roast or poached, plus a whole lot of side dishes like Spring Roll, Ngoh Hiong (pork roll), they called Loh Bah( this is difference JB and Singapore too)
