Travel with Parent -Part 1 ( Istanbul and Netherlands)

This was my first time, travelled Europe with my parent. my parent are suffering with leg pain, hence we need to plan itinerary that suitable for old people. we didn’t have Istanbul in my Itinerary, but due to long haul flight hours, I plan to stop over at Istanbul , to let my parent have a good sleep.

Istanbul is a major city in Turkey that straddles Europe and Asia across the Bosphorus Strait. Its Old City reflects cultural influences of the many empires that once ruled here. In the Sultanahmet district, the open-air, Roman-era Hippodrome was for centuries the site of chariot races, and Egyptian obelisks also remain. The iconic Byzantine Hagia Sophia features a soaring 6th-century dome and rare Christian mosaics.

Day 1

After 10 hours flight time we Stopover over at Istanbul,  we did not have must time at here -only 13hours.

Hagia Sophia-Hagia Sophia, “Holy Wisdom”; Latin: Sancta Sophia or Sancta Sapientia; Turkish: Ayasofya was a Greek Orthodox Christian patriarchal basilica, later an imperial mosque, and now a museum in Istanbul, Turkey.

Sultan Ahmed Mosque-Blue mosque-is a historic Mosque located in Istanbul. A popular tourist site, the Sultan Ahmed Mosque continues to function as a mosque today; men still kneel in prayer on the mosque’s lush red carpet after the call to prayer.

We was accommodate in Le Petill Hotel, very strategic location, near old town.  walking distance to almost all attractions in Istanbul.

The Hotel was clean and comfort but rather small.

The most famous Turkish Food will be Kebab and I think this is a must try in Turkish
